Sarah Zerbonne serves as the SGCR Executive Secretary and Coordination Lead for USGCRP’s National Coordination Office. In her role, Sarah facilitates the coordination, integration, and translation of climate change science across the Federal Government in an effort to inform adaptation decisions and support preparedness and resilience efforts for a range of users.

Prior to joining USGCRP, Sarah worked on climate change communication efforts with the National Park Service and George Mason University’s Center for Climate Change Communication. Additionally, Sarah worked for several years on ecological restoration projects in the Pacific Northwest. She served as an AmeriCorps member with EarthCorps for two years in Seattle, WA, and later joined their staff to recruit, interview, and hire national and international participants for their young adult leadership training program.

Sarah earned a Master’s of Public Health (MPH) degree in Environmental Health Science & Policy at The George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health, and received a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Colby College in Waterville, ME.
