IPCC Launches Full Report on Climate Impacts, Responses

Working Group II of the Intergovernmental Panel on
The report contains two volumes: 1) a global-scale assessment of impacts, risks, and adaptation options for economic sectors, human activities, and natural ecosystems, and 2) a regional perspective that considers unique geographical and cultural aspects of major world regions.
The Working Group II release includes the final versions of the 30-chapter report, cross-chapter materials, technical summary, and summary for policymakers (the draft versions of which were released in March). In addition, new materials in this release include high-resolution graphics, frequently asked questions, and process information such as early drafts and thousands of searchable comments from reviewers. The process information provides a complete and transparent view of how the author teams evaluated and addressed comments, verified facts, and reassessed interpretations—and also demonstrates the breadth and depth of input from across the international scientific community.
This comprehensive release was made possible through coordination by the IPCC Working Group II Technical Support Unit, which is hosted and funded by USGCRP.
